Well, you can allways try the paradoxal theraphy cure for it … Stay awake the whole night, and write down all the things you think about. Then you can see which of those things occupies your mind, and keeps it from falling asleep, and you can solve that problem.

No matter how tired you are, in that case you will no be able to fall asleep. The only way is to find what bothers you, what keeps your brain occupied, and remove it. No, lucid dreaming itself does not make you more rested. Rest comes from completing REM cycles. Dreaming is a part of this cycle. If you wake up during a REM cycle or do not sleep long enough to fulfill your body's need for them, you will be tired. They are generally 90 minutes long. This is why you may feel more tired after sleeping for 4 hours than 3, or 7 hours than 6.
Here's what may interest you: Normally a person will not remember a dream they have. If a person wakes up while they are dreaming, then they will briefly remember the dream while it is in their short term memory (it will generally fade quickly if it is not consciously committed to long-term memory). Because you always remember your dreams, you make not be completing your REM cycles, which could explain why you are never rested.
As for Lucid dreaming, I've never heard of it being a treatment, and it is difficult to do if you are not experienced. I've tried it and gotten it to work on maybe 20% of my attempts. Here is a site with much more information and directions for several methods which you can try:

I see where you're coming from. But a deaf actress for a main part would've been too hard! Katie Leclerc has Ménière's disease, so some days she basically is deaf. And eventually because of her Ménière's disease she will be totally deaf.
The producers of the show wanted to make Daphne's disability as believable as possible. They were very careful in picking an actress because they wanted someone who could relate to Daphne's struggles. Hence – Katie Leclerc! There's a video about the casting here:

She probably has a growth under or on an organ such as the liver. At 9, I wouldn't worry about it. Her life expectancy is only 10 to 12, so why put her through any tests or treatments this close to the natural end of her lifespan? You really wouldn't be gaining anything.
