what is the best way to sleep naturally if you aren't?

Wednesday, September 23rd, 2009 by

I haven’t been able to sleep lately any suggestion on how without taking drugs

have a bath
open bedroom windows (whatever the weather)
get a table fan and have it blowing on your face
listen to something with a constant beat on your MP3 (on repeat)
having sex would help (i imagine)… or the other thing – but maybe only if you’re male

that’s what i do anyway

Try to drink a nice hot cup of chamomile tea before bed. It is known to relax and calm the nerves, allowing for restful sleep.

you can try Traditional Chinese Medicine. it is natural therapy.

It is safe and effective to cure insomnia by foot therapy. The principle of treating this problem is to stimulate, the reflecting areas so as to adjust the balance of yin and yang.

    Acupuncture points
    Yongchuan, Taihsi, Taichung, Shanyinchiao

    Steps and methods
    1. Press successively Kidney, Adrenal gland, Urinary bladder, Ureter, Pituitary gland, Celiac plexus, Parathyroid gland, Gonad (1.2), and Liver areas for 20 times each until you have a moderate local pain.
    2. Press successively Celiac plexus, Parathyroid gland, Heart, Liver, Spleen, Stomach, Small and Large intestines, and Insomnia areas for 5 times each, with a moderate local pain.

    3. Press Taixi, Taichong, Sanyinjiao, and points for 30 times each.
    4. Press Yongquan point 80 to 100 times/minute until you have a warm sensation at the point.
    Sequence of massage:
When you practise foot massage yourself, first massage the left foot, and then the right foot.
    Course of treatment:
Do it once a day. One treatment for two weeks. It is more successful with herbal medicines.

There are plenty of herbs you can take to clam you down to sleep. Being unable to sleep is normally caused by a trigger. The trigger can be things like stress, medication, stimulants (coffee) etc. You need to identify what the trigger is and the best way to do that is to compare before (sleeping fine) to now. Identify what is different now from before and you will have your cure.

Another option is to have a look at calming herbs like Damaina, you can find more information on the source website.

For example, people tend to think that this waste will be at radioactive rates for about 10,000 years. But in fact, after just 200 years, this waste will be no more radio active than commonly occuring uranium in the earthâ??s crust !

But what does that tell us? That the radioactivity of nuclear waste after 200 years will be the same as naturally occurring uranium. Unless we know whether the radioactivity of naturally occurring uranium is harmful or not (or how harmful) to humans when exposed to it and at what concentration, that statement is meaningless. Or whether the concentration of waste will be the same as naturally occurring uranium.

And there are many naturally occurring metals, ores, chemicals (in plants) that are harmful to us. So, using “naturally occurring” does not imply “safe.” I doubt if people build their houses next to naturally occurring uranium ore sites.

Thanks for all the links. I enjoyed the conversation too – I like the information exchange better than ideological pulpit-thumping. :)

    Cheers.
