I know it sounds a little crazy but for me sometimes just by turning around to where my head is where my feet normal are does the trick. I tried it once after reading the suggestion somewhere on the net and it often works for me for some strange reason.

Try making sure you get good healthy exercise during the day so that you are physically tired then do something that relaxes you at the end of the evening. Also warm milk or camomile tea are worth trying.

Try putting a drop of lavender oil on your pillow at bed time. don’t use to much because if it is to strong it will be stimulating, so it will have the opposite effect.
You can try a warm bath about an hour before bed with some relaxing music and some relaxing essential oils.
If its an ongoing problem maybe you should see a naturopath or a massage therapist for regular relaxation massage.

I have asked stores/retailers if I could have a display/prop, etc. when they were done using it. They have given them to me for free. Because they usually just throw them out or someone else has already asked for it.
Check with a Starbucks and see if they have one in the back. I can't imagine them charging you for it.

I know how you feel. Most of the prepackaged meals are crap and the pills (which I tried as well) are usually more bad for you then good. You need a plan that is going to consider what the ingredients are going to do for you. I don't know what you have tried, but this is what worked for me. I stuck to eating real food like steak, eggs, real butter, nuts. We need to avoid processed foods at all cost. These foods contain long complex strains like saturated and poly saturated fats that take most of your metabolisms energy leaving very little to break down the other foods. This stunts your metabolic rate. This has helped me so I think that it may for you. I used this program called the Diet Solution Program and it has helped me with what KINDs of foods that I should eat and avoid.
