I am looking for Natural Sleep Aids, what works for you?
On top of the supplements that have already been mentioned, calcium can help too. You know the classic warm milk thing? Well part of the reason it worked is the warmth was soothing. The other reason it worked is because of the extra bit of calcium before bed.
There are other things you can do to help you sleep besides taking pills or supplements or teas. If you have a TV in your room, get rid of it. Don’t do anything in your bedroom other than sleep and sex. If you are having trouble falling asleep for more than half an hour, get out of bed and do something that does not stimulate the mind. Don’t read an interesting book. Do not watch TV. Keep things as low key as possible. When you get tired enough to fall asleep, try getting back into bed again. You can keep the room a bit cooler as your body tempature naturally rises when you first fall asleep. Make sure that very little, if any, light gets into the bedroom. The light can effect the quality of sleep. Another thing that may help is having some background white noise. It would block out any noise coming from the street, etc. and help you fall asleep and stay asleep.

go to a local health food store, and they can help you with that. My son uses chamomile tea, and Melatonin, which you can get at the health food store.

Nothing works for me, but I’m an extreme case (chronic insomnia, parasomnia, sleep apnea, etc.) However, for "normal" people, three supplements that you can get at Vitamin World or GNC that may help are: (1) Melatonin, (2) Valerian Root — with or without hops, and (3) Holy basil extract. Stay away from over-the-counter sleep aids because they interfere with REM sleep, so you usually wake up feeling tired and stay tired for most of the day.

I’ve been a chronic insomniac for as long as I can remember and these are all the tips I’ve received over the years. Some work for me and some don’t. But all MAY help.

if i know what you are talking about….When the band was recording this album at The Paramour in…Los Angeles, I believe, Gerard would have these night terrors when he was trying to sleep. The band also said that they felt like dark spirits in the house were trying to stop them.
The voice at the beginning is Gerard's, discussing exaclt what would happen to him when he had the night terrors.

I dont think its really unnatural, but it just wasnt a societally acceptable activity up until recently.
