We did not invade any country because of crimes. We don't do crimes. We invaded Iraq because they had violated agreements over and over again and were believed to have WMD. We later learned that while they had 550 tons of yellow cake uranium, they did not have a working WMD program. In Afghanistan we knew the government was harboring UBL who had orchestrated the 9/11 attack against our country. No one, except morons, believe we did not have just cause to invade. We did not "ruin the lives of millions" by doing this. In both those countries, the people were living under dictatorships and had no protection against those dictators. According to idiots picketing the White House, 500,000 children died because of sanctions following the Gulf War. In fact if that many died it was because the Iraqi Dictator was using Oil For Food money to build palaces while his two boys were leading rape squads, torturing soccer players if they lost and killing innocent people.
All of these actions made us safer and if they had been taken sooner it is possible 9/11 did not happen. You will note it has not happened again. There is your protection. And you aren't smart enough to have this discussion.
